Dr. Himanshu Rai is a consultant of laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Ujala Cygnus Hospital Varanasi Unit. His educational background is MBBA, MS in Surgery, and FMAS (Fellow in Minimal Access Surgeries). Dr. Rai specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgeries, and has a number of achievements in the field. He was the first surgeon to perform bariatric surgery in Purvanchal, later on becoming the only surgeon to perform advanced SILS in UP East. He has also honoured with B C Roy Memorial felicitation in Field of Laparoscopic Surgery by Varanasi from IMA Varanasi.
